Advice Needed - A3 Tablet Retrofit

Hi everyone, I'm looking for some advice. I'm hoping to replace my dated Symphony II radio in my 2004 A3 with a Google Nexus 7 tablet like these guys have done in the US:

Basically I'm wondering what i'll need to have once I've removed the radio?

I assume I will need an amplifier? and maybe a pre-amp too?

Also does anyone know of any audio source selectors with very a very small control panel that I can mount in the dash? i.e. volume control, power on/off select from tablet, bluetooth hands-free, aux in?

Once the tablet is mounted in the front of the double din slot (Im planning to use a snap on case like this Fosmon Rubberized Hard Back Cover Case for Google Nexus 7/ Asus Nexus Tablet - Black: Amazon.co.uk: Electronics) There should be plenty of room behind for a small amplifier, source selector, possibly a radio receiver, hands free.
