ABS solenoid relay location J106

got this as a fault through vagcom today - J106 ABS Solenoid Relay 0/1, american sites say it is up inside the dash behind the rightmost vent.. so it this where it is on the uk spec models?

comms with the ecu is fine so im resuming this relay is duff.

I think everything is self contained inside the ABS unit.

Reason i ask is because i was greeted with this today:

00302 - ABS Solenoid Valve Relay (J106)

Is the ABS unit under the rear seat? Or do you mean the entire unit under the bonnet?

Under the bonnet.

The ECU is strapped to the side of the pump itself. The whole unit in effect has one part number, but you can try swapping out the ECU from another pump first.

I have read in various places (ie forums) J105 and J106 are relays under the drivers side footwell on the right hand side.. But i cant for the life of me find any kind of reference to the layout of the panel as i dont have an owners manual.

Dont get me wrong, im not saying your incorrect i just want to check the cheap or free stuff first
