You want to make sure that unit is right for your car as they are different for pre 1998 models. In the earlier models they were found under the back seat of the car. I bought a control unit and pump from a scrappy a couple of years ago and it worked fine. I initially tried to get it fixed at company in Poole. They couldn't fix it and charged me £50 just to look at it. You're probably better just changing the unit as it is is unlikley that you will be able to fix it.

mine is a 11/99, and i have the part no, i have found somewhere that will repair for 280+, if it isnt fixed no charge, i can get an exchange unit for 325+, or brand new approx 700 incl with my discount.
