ABS Light....

i have an audi a3 97 1.6. My problem is that when i touch the brakes a bit the ABS light just flickers a tiny bit. Am guessing my ABS isnt working because of this. Ive recently changed the front brake discs and pads + coolant temp sensor + replced the driverside rear ABS ring (i could hear a whirring sound coming from that side, turned out to be the ABS ring gone loose).

Has anyone else had a simluar problem? Could anyone explain why it does that??

I had a similar problem only my ESP light was coming on and staying on.It turned out to be a malfuntioning switch.

16955 - P0571 Brake Switch (A) Circuit malfunction.

that was the error code.
I have also heard of this being caused by dirty contacts on the switch.

I have exactly the same error code on mine. It started today.

How did you fix yours?
