Audi A1 tfsi 2011 25000 miles.

Hi,

I have had constant problems with my abs light coming on and abs kicking in when braking.

I have spent £1100 so far. The mot is due and want it to pass as I cannot afford to spend any further money on the car yet. Will the abs fault light go if I remove the abs fuse?.

Brief description below and please can someone help diagnose the problem.

Feb 2017

Abs lights on and abs keeps kicking in when braking. Replaced with abs sensor non genuine part front drivers side and all ok for 2 months..

April 2017

Abs light comes on again and abs keeps kicking in when braking. Repaced with new sensor front and all ok. No faults. Also had new brakes discs and pads.

End of April

Abs problem again. Garage 1 cannot diagnose.

Garage 2. Audi specialist

May 2017

Car taken to a new garage and has the driveshaft ring, wheel bearing and new genuine Audi front drivers side abs sensor. All ok now for nearly 4 months

August 2017

Same abs problems occur and abd speed sensor replaced. Picked the car up and the same problen occurs 200 metres from garage.

Car taken back and mechanic recommends new wheel bearing again after 1500 miles.

Please note this time the abs braking does not occur. The abs starts to kick and you can feel it in the pedals and the abs light comes on but the car brakes fine with no abs kicking in.

Cost so far £1100 plus taxis and hire car.

Garage 3

The mechanic spent 2 hrs and could not diagnose the problem and no error codes showing.

Sept 17.

No abs kicking in. Abs light on all the time. No error codes.

Thanks in advance.
