Failed the mot last week on front suspension bushes, so booked it into nephews garage and watched him replace the top and bottom arms......retest sorted.....
Today i topped up the screen wash and decided to check oil and water, not much oil on dip stick........aha found the oil....its in my header tank.
After a lot of freaking out and swearing i left work early and took it to my nephews place......his boss is 99% sure its just the oil cooler and has booked it in for the morning.
I phoned my local GSF and they have a cooler in stock so hopefully will be sorted tomorrow.......very annoyed though......i've forked out for mot, repair ork and just got 6 months tax only to have to spend more..................
Never mind, i have stella to make me better tonight.......:rockwoot:

Aye, these are getting on a bit now,so problems are likely.

On the plus side the oil cooler is a common fault so, the garage is more likely correct and you have caught it early enough to have prevented damage. Get it done and enjoy the new found front tightness

At least you didn't shell out a fortune to have the headgasket done to then find out it was the cooler! :(

look at it as it's done you a favour as paying for a oil cooler is much cheaper than a new engine m8.....
