my 1997 4.2 quattro has sat on my drive for the last three/four years.it has been started every few months and moved around occasionally with no prblems other than charging the battery periodically.
it wont start this week.initially i put fresh petrol into the virtually empty tank. i have had the plugs out and they are dry as a bone.fuse for the fuel pump is ok. is there an inhibitor or a button to reset the pump on the car? never struggled to start before and im sure the pump will be working as there is no fuel when you open the banjo to the fuel rail when cranking. thanks for reading and im hoping there is a simple answer, john.
