A8 engine just self combusted"

Hi Everyone - I'm new to this! Hope you're all well.

I bought an Audi A8 2005 SE Quattro 3.0 Diesel 5 weeksn ago. It was parked over night in a secure car park that can't be entered without a key. The car had been undriven for over 15 hours. Suddenly Sunday afternnon smoke was seen comign from the bonnnet and within 10-15 minutes the engine exploded!

Has this happened to anyone on here or anyone you know? Is it even possible? I'm totally stumped!!!!

Absolutely no idea. Got insurance company and the police involved so I'm hoping for some sort of explanation. I'll upload some pics - just to wet your appetite! Believe me - it's shocking stuff
