Take a look at this. Came accross this advert on pistonheads

    http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/297397.htm

Car is described as having 85,000 miles on pistonheads.

Take a look here, it was listed on ebay last week with 135,000 miles!!

    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/AUDI-A6-2-4-se-LPG-converted-cream-leather_W0QQitemZ230189641413QQihZ013QQcategoryZ9835QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

I phoned the guy when he was selling it on ebay, and he said he would sell for £3600. Then he cancels the auction and says the cambelt had snapped on the car. A few days later the car appears on pistonheads with 85K miles for £4500!

Maybe this should be brought to the attention of the police - what do you guys think:detective2:

Sounds dodgy to me. Avoid it like a ho with a variety of STD's.

maybe he's swapped the damaged engine for a lower mileage one and so feels justified in quoting a lower mileage.

someone ring him to find out the story

i doubt they'd even stop their cornflakes for clocking a car, we had some thieving scrotes that stole over half a million quids worth of cars and the sentences averaged around 12 to 18 months community service. the only one that got time did so because he was on license for previous offences otherwise he'd prolly be walking the streets too.
