The vehicle is in limp mode so far things checked.

ECU driver footwell
ECU bulk head
Plugs under ECU in bulkhead
Wiring to alternator
Wiring to maff

Here are the VCDS logs using a genuine VCDS lead and software

There are other faults showing but I believe the 18265 / P1857 to be the issue I'm thinking possible alternator issue but I may be wrong.

What's your opinions thanks in advance

Marty

Yeah I have I looked everywhere and in the end bit the bullet and fired it into Audi they have said cambelt timing and it did have a belt fitted about 6 months ago so maybe something has moved !!

Yeah, it looks like the pump timing is out, get someone with vcds to re-align the pump at tdc and make the required adjustments. The other faults point to the suspension level sensor, it's possible it's broken or came adrift from the mounting point on the suspension arm.

Also, if manual the bearing on the flywheel is worn, are you experiencing vibrations on idle ? If not then the engine mounts have leaked their fluid or the solenoids are shot...

Just thought I would update this I stripped it down and found a chunk of metal that had come from tentioner had gone under the belt and caused the crank to jump 1 tooth !!! That was very lucky.

Fitted all new belts, water pump and tentioner and I have the proper VCDS so dialed the pump in correctly and is now sweet as a nut.

Thanks for your replies :)

What do you mean "I have the proper VCDS so dialed the pump in correctly"
