A4 rear diff!

Hi guys just a little help, whilst on its MOT I noticed my wife's A4 quattro has a leaking rear diff,

is there any repair kits for said item or am I looking at a new diff? Easy or hard to replace? Any direction to parts ect...would be greatly appreciated

Where is it leaking from exactly? Try cleaning the old dirt and grime off the diff, go for a drive for a few miles and check for fresh oil.

Most likely it will be a failed seal. Seal kits are out there but time in fitting can be a few hours depending on which seal. As long as there is still plenty of oil inside the diff so no damage is caused internally, then you shouldn't need a new diff. However, if its the diff casing that's been damaged and leaking......
