Hi Guys i am wanting to lower my A4 Avant but don't want to have it to low as i live in a street that has loads of speed bumps and also the wife like to park inside car shopping mail car parks. Can any one tell me what amount i should be ok to lower by and whats the best make of springs to use? I am also going to add the anti roll bars at the same time to help with the conering on the country roads.:) Am info on type and manufacture would be great for these.

At the same time what would be the best induction kit to install to it as i might put one of these on before i get it remapped in sept. Was thinking the BMC but don't know much about it any one got these fitted or any other induction Kit to the A4 1.9TDI(130).

Hope someone can help me.
Neil

Go for the B7 RS4 Rear ARB, c£70 from VAG Parts.

Do you have the S-Line suspension, as this is slightly lower than non S-Line models...?

Ive fitted H&R lowering springs which I bought off ebay. Mine was a standard Avant 1.9 TDI SE, and the suspension was very bouncy and wallowy. The springs I fitted aparently lower by 40mm and have transformed the car. No problems with speed bumps or anything yet, and I have an underground car park so its quite steep.

Hope this helps!

B7 RS4 rear anti roll bar as stated by stoakseya4, don't bother with the front ARB as they are all the same as standard. A set of springs that will lower it approx 35-45mm.
Also I wouldn't bother with an induction kit, put the money towards a remap instead

probs best with just the s-line springs. ive gone 30mm lower and catch all the bumps

WOW - You've got your own underground carpark ?! How big is your house ??!!!!!!

;)

Its actually known as the batcave, and the butler keeps it in good nick

Have you heard a tdi 130 with an induction kit,i tried it and hated it.

stoakseya4 - no it is just the standard springs no s-line gear for me:(

Will leave the induction kit then. I plan a revo remap in august so want to get the bouncing around the corners away before that.

Thanks guys this helps will just have to have a look for the springs any one got the tien one s fitted?

tein usually specialise in jap stuff. they are good, i had a set of tein coilovers on my rx7 before i smashed it into a wall at 50mph !

i would stick with something european like KW or FK

alternatively you can get jamex coilovers for about £225 !!! but not sure how good they are
