we will have some pics of the new front mount intercooler tomorrow..

    sits behind the std bumper
connects to std turbo if needed
large surface area... the core is as wide as the rad itself...
short pipe runs for low lag
high quality core... temp results to follow as well

Will be interested in seeing the results of the kit. What price will you be loking at? Any chance of a possible GB?

I've seen it and it's very nice indeed. Fantastic quality and an excellent fit.

Well worth the money in my opinion...

£695 + vat for the kit, slightly different kit for the big turbo conversion, but has been designed to work with a totally std car too!

fits behind std bumper etc etc

My car has a secondary air injection pump down where the turbo is i had to relocate this when fitting my FMIC, there is no room to run any pipes when this is there.

Not that i know of as far as i can tell all the face lift models have them built after 1999.5.
It was first owend by audi lease in Notts my car.
I did not know it had it and when i came to fit my FMIC i had to relocate the bugger.

  24. What is it connected to Markey?

Do you see it in any of Andys pictures?

Greg's car doesn't have one (at least there was nothing in the way of piping and I didn't see anything) and neither does mine as far as I know.

I know mine is a facelift model (Dec. 1999), and as far as I know so is Gregs...

    Greg?

Really not sure what it is you had to move there big man.

Oh by the way, do you realise the diagrams in the Link you put up are for a V-engined car...? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

    Cheers

Hmm i am confused i will take a pic of what i had to move and where it was located, today so you know what i am talking about.
I know it is for a v engined car but the mecahnics are the same it does the same job.
I know the car can run with out it but i get a light on the dash which i don't like.
    Pics to follow.

  27. Greg,

Facelift was after mid 1999 hence the comments you will have seen about 99.5 cars...

It included things like the one piece headlights and a few other bits 'n' pieces.

    Markey,

Hurry up with those pics! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

    Cheers guys

    Pics as i promised.
Right red circle is where the pump used to be and the green circle is where the pump is now.
You can see that the intercooler pipe runs right where the pumu used to be which was a problem!

You can also just see the pump inbetween the FMIC pipes and the Air Con hoses above.

  29. I don't remember ever seeing one of those on my car Markey...

    Andy, any ideas?

  33. Yeah... special needs! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

    /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/lol.gif

Is it still connected then Markey or did you get rid of it?

I'm gonna have a good old poke around mine (again) just to see if it is actually there but I doubt it is or I'd have noticed it already. Especially given the size of the thing!

    Cheers
