Anyone know a simple way to wire the sidelights/parking lights to come on with the ignition and act as DRLs, especially if I use brighter bulbs?
TIA

instead of playing with loads of wiring the easiest way is just to turn the light switch to position one

Funnily enough..even though what you say sounds incredibly simple..it makes PERFECT sense! :)

The only draw back I presume is that the rear lamps come on too. (as well as all of the cars cockpit lights etc)

The interior lights will only come on if you some how wire them into them mate. You could wire them up straight to ignition live with a diode to only allow current to flow one way

As DrStrange says it does make sense to want the front sidelights to come on without having to turn them on, as I would likely forget to turn them off and drain the battery!
(I leave the switch on auto anyway).

I've asked is if anyone knows an easy way to do it.
I'm not going to try if there isn't.

Thanks Dan,

Sure..it all sounds do-able. I dont have an auto switch though.

Just position 1 for side lights and 2 for dipped beams.
