A4 B7 strut tops.

evening folks,

spent today trying to get my coilovers fitted.
managed to get the struts off (eventually). however having a nightmare trying to get the tops off the strut mounts.
having a problem with the inner shocks spinning as i try get the 18mm bolt off.
any suggestions ?.

Presume you are holding the top of the strut with an allen key, not sure on size, think it maybe 7 or 8mm, then use ring spanner to undo the nut.

yeah was holding the allen screw as well. was trying to see if there was a "knack" to it im just not getting.
