Hello everyone,

I am currently the proud owner of this lovely 2007, 3.0 V6 Tdi A4 Cabriolet, Tiptronic Quattro.
75,000 miles on the clock, 1 owner from new, garaged all its life, full service history and all mine for £5750.00 back in April this year.

It is the exact spec I was after, bar electric seats and cruise control, but ill come to that later.
It is an S-Line with the S-Line front bumper which really sets apart from the standard in my opinion.
Extras include - Sat Nav, Bluetooth, Colour DIS, Bose Sound System, Heated Seats and Leather Sports Steering wheel.

Only bad points: Missing S-Line badge on one wing, scratched S-Line badge on steering wheel...that is it if you understand it is a 10 year old car, even so it looks half its age....

Now I use the word project lightly as I will not be changing the majority of the components away from their current OEM Spec. What I am aiming to do is to sharpen up the appearance and performance and to tweak it so it is something a little different to what your average Joe down the street might own. Something personal to me and how I want the car to be.

So to start here is how I picked the car up, I drove 200 miles to Wales to view the car and put a deposit down straight away. Real honest chap and thorough test drive and inspection.

All in all a real bargain so far and has not put a foot wrong. Except the rear brake light was temperamental so will be changing that.

More updates to follow....

First of all it was due a service. So performed a quick oil and filter change including air and pollen filter to freshen her up a bit.
MOT advisory showed rear pads as nearing limit so changed these too.

Now my list of modifications started as soon as I got my hands on the V5...

Subject to change and no particular order:
- Remap
-EGR Delete
-Retrofit Cruise Control
-Metal pressed Plates
-S4 Mirrors
-Heated Mirrors (Shocking that they are not standard...)
-Few chrome additions to the interior, different models had varying levels of detail, looking to add what I can to mine
-Paint Calipers
-LED exterior lights (Not headlights)
-Replace missing Audi Rings from engine bay, See pic :(
-Retrofit interior light pack, foot-well lighting and puddle lights
-Back-box delete, replace with straight through pipes
-Upgrade washer jets to 'spray type'
-De badge and Re badge where necessary
-Rear lip spoiler
-Mudflaps

I have already added some of these before creating this thread, so I will start in chronological order on my next reply.
:)

Great looking car. Soft tops age so well. Be careful with work that might make the exhaust note "more prominent" on a convertible :highly amused:

Thanks man, yeah I find the cabriolets age a couple of years slower than the rest of the models in it year.
Yeah I will be careful with exhaust not wanting anything too aggressive.

My first upgrade after it had been polished and buffed was to fit my Mudflaps from my previous A4 Cabriolet.

Next I went ahead and painted the calipers a nice subtle silver, to modernise it slightly and remove any rust from view.

Please excuse the grime...

After those two easy mods it got me in the mood to do a few more bits fairly quickly.

I moved into pressed plates and a lip spoiler the next weekend.
Pressed plates by far the best upgrade so far, especially on any car in need of new plates to freshen it up!

Fixed the temperamental centre brake light.
Quick and painless straight swap, German Ebay.

This weekend I got round to exploring how to fit the cruise control.

Was very simple when using a guide from another helpful member.
Works a treat, love it for long motorway miles.

Airbag out, steering wheel off, cover comes off and slots in after a bit of jiggery pokery and a few screws.

Activated with Vagcom and all working perfectly!

The keen eyed among you would have seen the B8 pedals which I upgraded too a few weeks back.

So much nicer than just boring black..

Next on my list was the S4 mirror covers.

Turns out they are hard to source for a cabriolet and the real things are too expensive for my liking.

So I bought a pair of primed originals from the internet OWN standard and got the spray paint out! Couple of coats along with some lacquer and I am pleased with the finish.
Not perfect but very close too.. :)

Sets the car off nicely!
Please also admire my painting stand...

And this is how she is looking so far.

All completely stock under the bonnet still, and to be honest still impressive...
But looking to sharpen her up soon.

Cleaned out my Intake, EGR and Throttle body.

Hi there - do you mind sharing the part number for the mudflaps.. I only seem to be able to find the ones for the saloon & Avant. Thank
