Nice mate, better when shiny thou?
Did you fit the RS4 bumper yourself, how was it?
nice i like ..........how much is that been dropped?
Shiny is over rated It's my daily workdrive car so I don't have time or motivation clean it every night after work.
I had light problems with fiting it on because I didn't have proper rs4 bumper holder at that time.
So i did measuring on air and it wasn't that precise. It's still a bit in wrong size but with some 'stretching' it sits pretty good after all.
Next time I know how it's done better.
About 3 feet from standard for a TDi!
TBH I just built up the FKs so that the springs were under tension and then installed on the car - the rears have stayed as they were, and I raised the front by 25 threads(!) as it was scraping on lock. It now only scrapes if it's compressed under lock (ie hammering around a lumpy mini roundabout).
I'll probably raise it a little more when I refresh the front arms as it's still a little too low for my taste, but the C arms are so fecked it may raise a few mm anyway when they are replaced!
@diffas - it's very rare that mine looks as clean as it appears in the photos, a healthy covering of muck hides the scratches and corrosion pimples!
Hiltoa, sure i saw your car on Sunday at Cars in the park(harewood house)
Sounds perfectly feasible!
Thanks, Glade it has given you the solution to your door card problem,
The wheels are not TT Comps, same design just et35 and 5x112 instead of 5x100 so not as common as TT, they came off Audi A6 4.2 C5
Here's some pics of mine,at the beginning, and now. i lamin x'd the headlights, and did alot of other small touch;s,il explain some other day lol.. i like it,prob will lower more aafter mot this week... lemme know what you think..........
at the beginning:
At the minute..
Turned out nice Keith, like it mate. Wot suspension are you using, sits quite low?
Two quick ones of mine after a wash today
got to say i'm impressed with it...
not bad for the sum of £700 with 11 months mot
few pics with new springs fitted and bit of a shine lol
My baby got new shoes.
That is a seriously hot car mate! I am seriously considering a B5 when my B6 dies, which is inevitable with my wife driving it more than I do now. I am loving them wheels!!
Very nice stance ! What alloys are these, rial daytona's ?
Here's mine. Need a clean though!
lovin the recaro's
With A8 18" wheels. Please ignore bonnet...needs paint, and bent front number plate! lol!
What are the rear lights you have on your a4 Sam? They look nice.
They are led lights from Germany, no idea of any names or anything.
Only just got it, but heres a quick one of mine.
Plans are alloys refurb and putting to Anthracite, and if i can find the paint to match a pair of better skirts.
SE 2.4 V6 in Santorin Blue Pearl. 154k on the clock and the interior smells of Vanillaroma Magic Tree's!
Engine and gear box are sweet, sounds quite nice although maybe a bit too quiet but I'm happy for now.
Had new discs, pads, bearings and ABS sensors all round less than 2000 miles ago.
So far I have:
* Fixed the glove box light. Thought the bulb was blown, but it just wasn't connected to the loom. Also sort out the badly fitted glove box at the same time.
* Fitted Bosch AeroTwin flat wiper blades
* Fitted a carbon coated pollen filter as the air flow was ****, so expected the old one to be past it, perfect now.
* Fitted a new fuel filter.
* Replaced the power steering fluid.
* Bought 5w40 oil, a gen. oil filter, sump plugs, spark plugs, HT leads and coolant temp sensor all ready to go in/on.
What I need to do:
* Remove both front seats in the hope of sorting out the air bag light. Also f' knows what's living under there so a hoovering is required.
* Sort out the instrument display as it has 'cluster pox'
* Replace both registration plates as they look as old as the car and let it down cosmetically.
* Check the plenum chamber drainage holes
* Paint the aerial as it's currently a chavvy silver. Going satin black.
* Get the original stereo recoded
* Buy 3 litres of Motul Gear 300 oil for a gearbox oil change.
* Possibly debadge it.
* Possibly put coilovers on it.
It's got a mostly full service history and nearly all the old MOT's, even the old'ns that used to be on A5's pieces of paper! Nostalgia.
I found an invoice from the Audi dealer dated 2002 for £1800 that included a new clutch kit, flywheel rear brake calipers, discs and pads. Shocking tbh.
Is the airbag light a common problem? Whats usually the fix? I havent put vagcom on mine yet but im hoping its just the connectors..
Dry joint under the seats.
The vag-com will reset the light, but without fixing the problem it's highly likely to just come back on again.
Sorry for very slow reply. I'm not that active reader on this forum. Those are Rial Nogaro Black. 9x18: front with ET37 and rear ET30.
I'm waiting to get my new coilover set to be installed. I'm acrophobic u see.
They look the dogs ******** mate ! Had a set of rial daytona race split rims (sold them a few weeks ago) and i regret it ever since. I have just bought a set of a8 parabols (aka fat fives !) and i will just keep them as summer wheels for the b5 quattro. For the allroad i have the stock 17" Ronal split rims for the winter and 18" ABT sportysline for the summer...just bought another set as i could not been bothered to refurbish the set i allready had !
Only got this last week but i like it so far
The only snaps i have of her
19" RS6 rims
Heated mirors and all that milarky
Tidy Avant mate. If I were you I would get rid of those headlight "brows". Make it look much better! So is this your run-around as I'm taking it you have a scooby too?
Very nice and welcome to ASN.. Sorry No to the eyebrows
Fastest colour too.
I cannot see the S4 kit though? Are these early photots?
No s4 kit there. Looks kind of like the votex kit but deeper at the front anyway.
Lovely car mate, saw it on SRS, looks spot on with the B6's!
Finally got round to getting a pic of the car after fitting new 17" wheels and some FK springs
Looks a whole lot better than before, both in lack of corrosion on wheels and the car sitting level (and a bit lower)
If you're wondering what the white stuff below the rear door is, it's soap suds from the jet wash that I didn't rinse off properly
Did a clean and a polish yesterday and took one pic.
Here it is.
Some gorgeous looking cars on here J
im new so thought I would post up quickly with a few pictures of my car, it’s an early 1.8t.
Very nice............ think this will be my route
nice votex kit! subtle differences for the early ones on the skirts!
Just put some pics on the PC so thought I would share now Needs a bit of tlc to the body work, dents scratches etc
Its a bit dirty but hey ho!
Got plans for it, just need to sell my Escort (in signature) so I can fund them
I will be after decent black head lights and black led (maybe) tail lights and a lovely set of chrome tipped deep dish alloys. 18 or 19" depends on what I can afford. oh and a set of coil overs.
Then maybe an ECU check up lol
Bored in work so thought i'd pop out and take some pics of the car.
its a bit dirty from the past week commuting, so will have to clean it again and take some better pics.
Nothing great but worth sharing.
