Hi, new on here so I just thought I would show you all a couple of pics of my new car. It's a 99 1.8 n/a with 148k, just put some 19's on it and getting some coilovers in the next couple of weeks.

Pics of my 2.8 Q. Apollogies for the poor picture quality (iPhone!!)....When I got her she was completely standard and pretty beat up. Sorted all the mechanical issues (almost) and all the cosmetic's etc.

Man that's some camber. Do you use it for track days or just high speed cornering we all face on the public roads? Very sexy looking beast

Aaaah yeah... some Ronal rims and a drop and it'll look really fresh.

Really nice colour combo too. I fancy an Avant next (when the family comes along!)...

Hi Ian52. Whilst looking at the pics of your very clean motor I noticed that you have a headlight leveling dial to the right of your steering wheel. What sort of lights are you running because they look the same as mine but mine are self leveling on my TQS. Thought they'd all be the same.

    Cheers

You must have factory HID lights. Mine are just the halogen facelift lights. They both look the same on the outside.

Ah ok thanks for that. Must admit when I first bought the car I was some what confused as to how I was going to adjust the light level. I didn't know about self levelers before that. Checked the handbook and spent probably 20 mins in the car hunting for the elusive yet absent dial. Felt like a muppet when a mate told me what was what..

    Cheers chaps!

It did look a million times better when I'd cleaned and prepped it the day before. This has 200 miles-worth of dust and crappy road salt on it!

Loving it now that it's running better. I was actually contemplating moving it on not so long ago... but I think I'll keep it for a while. It's the first car I've ever had that I'm not wanting to move on because I'm bored of it. I've had other cars that have come and gone around it... but it's staying for now!

    Well happy with it.

Looks good mate. What trim did you remove buddy? If it were mine I would lose the spoiler, mudflaps and number plate surround. It would look a lot cleaner/more refined. You fitting facelift headlights?

Think he means the wheel trims Phoenix.

Car looks nice and clean, agree with Phoenix on removing the number plate surrounds thou, look a bit too much/chunky!:icon_thumright:
