a4 b5 help please

    Hello all

    im used to passats b5 i know these are similar but need a bit of help?



    i have found a button next to the drivers seat in the pillar? presses on and off? can anyone tell me what it is

    car is 1998 1.8 20v se r reg


    also i have bought a leather interior from a 1997 a4 and fitted it , but now the abs light wont go off? he says the drivers seat was saggy and was fixed ? if the airbag did go off and its been fixed can i get the light to turn off?


    also need a seat belt clip drivers side if anyone has one??? as audi want the whole unit £20=vat ???? no chance


    can anyone asist me in the above ?

    switch in the piller turns the interior monitoring for the alarm off, handy if you leave dogs or kids in the car or the sunroof open

    "but now the abs light wont go off?" do you mean airbag light?
    It needs to be reset via VAGCOM, any error sensed once the ignition is turned on gets stored regardless of whether the error is still there or not. Also means all the airbags are disabled, so you need to get it reset.

    sorry yes airbag light ......

    also another thing i wana know is how on earth do i change the rear speakers the passenger side one has about 8 wires ? and something attached to it? ...that stopped me doing it today, after taking all the back seats out???? grrr
