a friend is looking at buying a a4 avant 1.8, 1.8t, 1.8tdi

what sort of stuff do i need to look out for

what normal goes wrong with them etc, etc,

well on one of ours we had a oil pump fail on the 1.8t sport and the pervoius owner drove it rould for around 4000 milles with no oil getting to the head and then sold it on but the enige still ran fine after that. hope this help mike

hi mate it was to long ago to remeber but it was not alot as i did it my self and i got te part trade price from a friend it was a bit hard to do it thought because there was a few hidden bolts that tookm me ages to find
