A4 2.8 Fuel Cut off switch??

Can anyone tell me where this is???

My dizzy wife let the car run out of fuel...topped it backup but it won't fire.
Think the cut off has kicked in

Didn't know there was one. I thought you had to prime the system after fuel starvation.

Thought that was only on diesel's??

Is yours a quatty or fwd. I'm just looking at my workshop manuals now.

Ok there is no mention of a fuel cut of switch in the manual and the petrol unit appears to self prime. So could be a fault somewhere on the fue deliv system.

I though all cars had to have a fuel cut off...part of the safety system incase the car has been in an accident
