I've owned the car a cracking 10 weeks now, lowest MPG (calculated fill up to fill up) has been 37mpg highest 39. Very impressed as it doesn't seem to change much

Is that a b5 or a b6 ? What year ? That's nice fuel economy from the good old v6 tdi...

    I posted
'I get about 450-500 out of the 2.5TDi Qs which works out at around 38-43 MPG on a usual weekly usage, the 1.9 2WD is better, 650-700 which comes out at 50-54 MPG.

Best I got from my 2.5 was Morrisons Dundee to Morrisons Canterbury on a tank 536 miles at 47 MPG.
' on a thread asking about milage returned a while back.

I think the A4 2.5Q does very well performance and MPG-wise. It can shift, but you get a reasonable return on the daily comute

    Its a b6

I think i could push more but as PAULF says 450-500 seems an easy figure to obtain. Unless your stop starting. once the engine is warm it seems very reasonable.
