    Hi all,

I've just become a dad again and was thinking about getting something bigger than my sportback. Love the Quattro and love the power now it's stage 1 but feel still a little short on power... I could go stage 2 but have seen a 2.7 old school s4. I know saying this in 8p might provoke a reaction but what do you guys think of the old school turbo s4 is it worth the swap and if I did do these things go well and do I need to watch out for any issues?

    Thanks

Main issue with the 2.7tt is the turbos. It's an engine out job to replace them and you won't get much change out of £3k! The 2 x turbos themselves are reliable K03 units, but issues with split DV's (2 of them), split 'pants' hose and sticking wastegates.

Depends if you could put up with 20 mpg max and more tacky plasticy flimsy build quality. You'd probably have more power than you'd ever need though.
