Ok. Advise now required. Car on original clutch after covering 1550000 miles. Started feeling a little notchy into 2nd. So changed gearbox oil. Now noticed a little notchy into 3rd as well. Assuming clutch on way out. Previous owner covered a lot of motorway miles whereas I do a lot more local journeys so have expected this issue.

So advise required. What kit do you guys recommend I buy to replace this. This is going to be my long term car as I love it.

Any advise appreciated.

Notchy gear change is typically a sign of synchro or selector fork problems... When a clutch is on its way out it will slip rather than make gear change notchy...

2nd and 3rd share a synchro iirc... The more difficult it gets to engage the more chance the selector fork will break

Ah so may get away with changing selector fork then?
