I have noticed my vac pipes have started to perish causing leaks, I'm sure I'm gonna seem like a right plonker but can they be replaced with standard silicon vac pipes? and are they the standard 4mm id pipes?

    Cheers

Yes silicone is fine. The OEM pipes are 3.5mm and 5mm, but 3mm in place of the 3.5mm will be ok.

If its a PD engine you will need about 2.5m of the 3mm and 1.5m of the 5mm hose.

Have a look in either the spare wheel well or the first page of the service book, there you will find a data sticker with loads of codes on it.

Towards the top of the sticker there will be a 3 letter engine code and the power output in KW.

Engine code may be ASZ, ATD, ALH or similar. Post it up and I can give you more info.
