    Hopefully a simple question; could you please confirm my understanding that if you want a sunroof on new A3 sportback you HAVE to have the twin sunroof open sky system & there is NO option of having a single sunroof ?

    I'm sure this is the case but just want to confirm .

    Thank you.

    Yes mate, that is correct.

    Sportback = open sky

    3-door = normal sunroof

    Does any other part of the roof open?
    Looks about the same opening as the nomal sunroof

    Looks great Cats.

    Shame about the rear not opening though !. And i would have preferred the roof in front of the sunroof to be body coloured. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ok.gif

    Yes I would agree and one reason I picked Dolphin Grey was so the roof blended in and did not look like something from the 60's, but I'm showing my age now

    Many thanks, great to see pictures of open sky system.

    Are you saying that the rear sunroof glass panel doesn't tilt or move at all ? I hadn't actually thought about this, but guess it can't very well slide & hang out behind the car like a "sort of" spoiler" !!

    Where please are the controls for the sunroof(s) ?

    I think I am now more tempted to get this sytsem now I've seen your pics. Is it ok if I blame you to my wife for our continued poverty !!

    The section over the back seats is fixed if it wasent the front section would not be able to slide, but it lets more light in. Both sctions have perforated sliding sun shades if needed.
    Controls are at the front near interior light swithes and works in a similar way to a standard roof.
