A3 soft top with new front end?

not sure if I missed info on this but saw in top gear magazine that the
A3 cab is coming this year.

Now, I hasten to add I'm not interested in one, but what did interest me
was this quote:

" the convertible previews the next evolution of Audi's chromed,
drop-jawed snout, and is the first of a new generation of A3s "

So has anyone any further info and linkage????

found a bit online, but nothing official. some of the guess pics are weird, including one with the grill upside down..

Think I can remember hearing the A3 was due to be facelifted in 2009-2010

There's a completely new one in 2009, not a facelift, we've had the facelift on the current model and by 2009 it'll be 6 years old.

thats what I understand, but it sounds like the convetible which will be out this year is to be the first of the new models rather than based on the current models. Some of the online sites are saying it will be the first VAG car based on the new chassis..
