A3 Saloon! Why?

Whilst avoiding watching Big Brother, I've been looking around a German Audi forum Clicky and stumbled across some photoshopped pics of an A3 saloon!

IMO, Pic 1 looks pony and Pic 2 is identical to an A4.

Thought you might be interested though ....

I agree - an A3 saloon would be absolutely pointless.

What's really worrying is that at the bottom of Pic 1 is says "A3 Sedan 1.4". /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cry.gif

Agree there's no need, but I actually think Pic2 looks mint - back end looks like an old school maserati. Certainly much better than the A4. Unfortunately I think the proportions look good because they have cheated and lengthened the wheelbase.

Who knows - after all, there was no need for a Golf saloon but it still happened...

That is an A4 with a Sportback front end pasted on and some RS4 wheels for added bling.

Hey, I'm not saying the Bora was a stroke of genius, I'm just saying it happened! Personally I couldn't care less if Audi bring out an A3 saloon - doesn't affect me.
