A3/S3 calipers

i believe they are but the carriers are different to accomadate the larger dia disc's..... ohh hang on thats for the fronts... not sure about the rears.... i would imagine they are the same as the rear does very little work... someone will no doubt confirm soon

Incorrect, the S3 rears are slightly wider to accomodate vented disks, A3's have solid disks. A3 and S3 have the same diameter rear disks, 256mm I think they are?

OK, according to your link, the vented items are 256mm, the solid ones are 232mm, so I don't know what I'm on about. lol

i suppose it depends on the A3 in question.
if it's a non turbo one, i'd say no they're not the same.

They are different. The S3 runs a 256mm vented and the A3 232mm solid. I did this upgrade on my A3 recently. If the caliper & carrier are source from a quattro or 4 motion, you will need a 6mm spacer between the carrier and the hub.
hmmmm, best off just getting one of an s3, saves the hassle of trying to match them up
