a3 s3 brake piston size

    Hi quick question is the s3 front and rear brake calipers the same as the as quattro i know the disk sizes are different but that could be down to carriers rather that caliper.

    Also if i build up pressure by pumping the brake pedal and then the pressure goes whilst holding the brake on is that down to the master cylinder letting by as i don't have a leak in the system.

    Front calipers are the same on models with 288x25 and 312x25 disks, its just a carrier swap that moves the caliper out further for the new disk. They use 54mm pistons.

    Rear calipers are different as the vented disks are wider. Piston sizes are the same though afaik, 38mm.

    As for the pedal creep, would typically point to a leak, but if not the it can only really be the master cylinder.
