Hi all,

I looked at an A3 2.0 FSi T Quattro today, it was lush!

Didnt have all the toys mine has, but it felt much more responsive!

Im assuming its a totally different engine? Virtually no lag at all!

I havent really seen that many around though, did they make them from 2003 and are they available in 5 door?

Cheers

Dave

Hiya Dave,

The 2.0TFSI is a completely different engine to the 1.8T and is exactly the same unit as fitted to the MKV GTI, 197BHP/201lbft iirc...

I had a MKV GTI before the A3 and found it to be a cracking engine with as you say virtually no lag with almost TDI levels of torque making it feel really punchy, truly great engine imo! :icon_thumright:

They are available in 5 door sportback form and from around early 2004 onwards i would imagine?

Have a look on www.allapprovedcars.com and refine the search to either 2.0T or just 2.0 versions as quite a few are in the regular 2.0 section

Cheers mate, I know, really impressed with the torque and un-laggy feel, then again, id imagine the 2.0 TDi 170 is pretty good too!

It certainly is, especially chipped! Averaged 50mpg today on a long run...

I drove one of these while my car was in for service, it was qucik alright but i thought the brakes were shocking

On the 170? They're fine on mine...
