    Hi all,

I have a 09 plate Audi A3, i am currently having ISSUES with my LED runners on the front right headlight.. I bought the car about 2 months ago from a garage and since yesterday the LED runner has stopped working and the warning light for the runner has appeared on my dash.

Surely these LED lights shouldn't have already gone in 4 years.. I know i work as an electrician and in houses they have a 10-15 year guarantee on LED Lights as they are supposed to be extremely long lasting.

Is there something i should look at that may have gone, or something that i can change that may fix them

The garage has quoted me about £500 for new lights + £170 labour

    Cheers Guys

Did the car not come with any warranty?

Really??!!! It's hardly a wear and tear item is it. I'd be demanding it's sorted under warranty mate.

just so you know even if you manage to get one light under warranty i suggest you put the other in as well as its not uncommon to see colour temperature changes through the life of the lights. this being said these led's SHOULD be engineered to last much longer but i suspect they are overvolted cree LED's which would shorten the lifespan of them
