A3 Hopeful but i need heeeeelp :)

I hav been looking to buy an A3 and there are alot in the range of around 7k and just under.. (2004 im looking at specifically) they seem to mainly be in the 2.0 Diesel range/sport etc etc..) Is there anything specifically i should be wary of when buying... (Im not very up on my cars from a mechanical point of view etc) so i thought i would ask those in the know....

Hi Wes.

If your budget could stretch to a 2005 you could get the facelift A3 (single grille).

Are you trading in? If not you're in the perfect position and I'm sure you could negotiate a great deal on a 2005 in the current climate.

If I were you I'd go for either the Sport or SE and avoid the entry level model, its a bit basic.

I've heard a lot of people say that the 1.6 petrol engine is a little weak for the size weight of the car, but then I've never driven one. I'd go with the 2.0 TDI... but then I would say that wouldn't I!
