Hi all, looking to replace the headlight bulbs on my 57 plate A3 as they are very yellow and look **** to be honest lol don't want HIDS I want something that's brighter and gives a nice white xenon look. Had a read on here about the osrams and philips but people seem to be disappointed for the premium they charge for them, if anyone has some pictures they could post up that would be great.

    Thanks

    Dan

Well that's your only choices really and they cost what they cost.... You could go OEM bixenon but that will £1000 so the bulbs really are cheap!

You won't get anything legal that is xenon like ! Most 55watt halogens with +90 -100% light output are much better but still don't look like xenons.

Why not splash out £13 on these and see if they are good enough for you? If not at least you've got a couple of spares !

I have these in my car, they give a bright white light with a tint of blue. I would recommend these if you do not want to spend a lot on the Philip Diamond Visions.

Iv read bad things about the night breakers that they're not very white nd not much brighter either, I'm happy to have more than 55w iv had more on previous cars just wondered what others have got on theirs rather than trial and error as it can become very expensive lol

You're not allowed more than 55 watts legally and according to the new MOT regs it will fail !

I've got Mtec Cosmos Blue and they're great! Cheaper than others like the Phillips versions but also do the same job as them.

Try these, they do not have the blue tint.

have put phillips extreme vision bulbs in mine today and was very surprised how much brighter and whiter they are to standard, am not a fan of the the blue look either. have took pics but they dont show them very well, i am also going to change the sidelight bulb for led's as that gives a crisper white light in the headlight too.
