A3 Dipped Beam Bulb Type?

Hi,
Im looking at getting a set of better dipped beam bulbs for my '00 A3. So, can anyone confirm the headlamp type for the dipped beam?

Hayes manuel says its a H7.
Powerbulbs says its a H1.

In the facelift model (post 2000):

H7 main/dipped

I was looking at the same thing myself last night.

DOUBLE EDIT: The best bulbs (non xenon) are Philips X-Treme Vision by a mile. There is an auto car review from the end of 2009 that says this. They are more expensive though.

Went down to Audi parts desk today and they say its H7.
