Hi all,
So I have a facelift A3 I bought recently without air-con, just the standard heater dials with two buttons at the bottom. One for the rear windscreen demister and the other for air recirculation. When they both press in, they feel mushy (no click), they spring back out and both of them don't illuminate at all.
My rear windscreen mists up and it's a pain having to wipe it down frequently. I'm wondering if anyone has any ideas to what the problem may be? I've tried to take the control panel apart but it's mounted behind the centre console and does not simply slide out of the front.
I've recently replaced the bulb which illuminates the dials which had gone, but even if it's just faulty indicator bulbs, I'm quite sure the switches are not working properly. I believe it is also the same as VW's heater control panels.
If anyone knows how the buttons should operate / how I can fix them that would be great!
