Was just wondering what kind of functionality my phone will have with the new a3. I have a Samsung galaxy S4 . Will I be able to view contacts, play my music etc through the bluetooth onto the cars screen? I have the standard sline spec car with no tech package. Also the connector in the arm rest, will tthat have the same functionality as the bluetooth???

Yes all thats possible with the bluetooth, you can skip back and forward through the playlists using the steering wheel to, the cable will charge your phone and let you navigate through the music menus (songs, artists etc)

Turn the brightness up in the mmi settings to make the screen look much crisper too

... I don't think it will!!! The Galaxy S4 (and all Android 4.x devices) doesn't allow USB Mass Storage Mode (unless you've rooted your device) and I think it is USB Mass Storage the audi needs for full play-list control (through the cable). Control via bluetooth should be fine, though.

Of course, all this could be complete and utter rubbish and someone more knowledgable than me will be along shortly to correct me!!! ;-)

You can switch them to Media device mode though which should allow you to do these things
