A3 3.2 2004 Sport Quattro 50mm or 55mm.? Coilover

Hi guys


Just bought (but not picked up yet) a A3 2004 3.2 SPORT. I am planning on fitting V Maxx coilovers and need to know what the front strut clamp size is 50mm or 55mm?


I have searched on the forum but none of the threads say anything about the size for the sport spec, only s-line.


Some have stated that anything below 2.0L engines have 50mm, anything above is 55mm.


Please can anyone clear this up?


Also can anyone recommend weather it is worth buying the v maxx drop links to go with the coilovers?

For the 3.2 engine, the strut is 55mm.
