A3 2008 mirrors with lights in rear

    will 2008 side mirrors the ones with the lights in the rear of them fit my 54 plate a3 ?

    If you're on about the facelift ones with the LED indicators, then yes i think they will

    I believe Nigel (NHM) has done it, but I don't think it's as straight forward as it sounds.

    I think he said he will be doing a "how to" soon.

    just bought the new shape mirrors so just need a hand on what i need t do to get them fitted and working on my 54 plate a3...

    just waiting on the postman to deliver them.

    You'll have to, lol, I've done the mod & just have to wire the indicators via 1 of 2 methods, yet to test but confident.

    got my mirrors today must say they look nice.

    just wonding NHN is they anythink i need to do before i give them to my m8 to paint for me ?

    Also do i use my orignal mountin hindges ?

    No, the covers can be painted, as thats unrelated to the modification to make them fit & no you cant use the original mountings at all, must be complete facelift mirrors.

    mirrors are painted and picking um up next week. is it a straight forward fit and just the wiring that has to be adjusted as getting me windows tinted next week so may get um fitted at the same time.

    You need to remove the mirror glass, then remove the small black trim underneath, then unscrew the cover that has a few torx headed screws, then it should lift of.
