a3 1.8tfsi facelift 2008 no info :(

Looking to buy said car. Its going to probably have around 70k miles on the clock. Is there any buying advice, the only other information I have is thats its chain driven not belt driven. What should I look for at 70k. Im a noob any advice would be appreciated, Ive been looking for a car for months now!

Most 08's are pre-facelift! Check the registration documents very carefully ..it might be worth a huge discount if it's a retrofit.

If it has a DSG gearbox, make sure that was serviced at 40k, the Haldex (rear diff) on Quattro's also needs regular maintenance for problem free motoring. The rest is fairly standard stuff afaik.

hi thanks for your reply! yeh its 58 so facelifted. no quattro and no dsg so thats good

Just wanted to know what to look for genuinely, any noises or smoke out of the exhaust.
