If you fit a new thermostat, always pop it in some boiling water FIRST to make sure it opens properly. Just because something is new doesn't mean it works!!!

Gutted mate, not a job I'd want to do again soon, done it last week. Surprised you had a bad genuine one.

My only regret was forgetting to buy new G12 and had to use blue coolant from my brothers work, doesn't look right lol

i were told g12 only mate..................ive heard the blue or green is a no no.

It works fine, its just not a great idea to mix them, and obviously it doesnt last as long.

I'm doing the cambelt and water pump this weekend, so gonna buy g12 to refill it. Will 2 bottles be enough plus water?
