Hi, recently iv noticed my b5 TDi is very sore on fuel........ Still runs fine,no loss in power or anything, and diesel filter changed not to long ago, ild get justt over 400 miles to 60 pound tank, and yesterday i got 40 miles to a tenner, my VTi was just as easy to run if not better ***.. and 30 pound filled it lol!!!!

Any thing i can check or anyone had similar issue before??

You need to get vagcom and find out whats wrong with it.

Does your temperature guage quickly climb to 90 and then stay there while driving?

Yeah was thinking that.. no1 near me has it though... would a normal machine pick it up??? Local garage has a snap on machine?!!

Na temp hand doesnt rise fast at all,but does stay around 90 or 90 at all times, the heaters **** in there car too was gonna flush it out??

Thanks for replying.

TDI's do take a while to warm up, especially if your driving slowly, but it might be worth giving it another stat anyway as it will probably help warm up times unless its particularly new

Where about are you based?

The vagcom leads are only a tenner on ebay, and a basic demo version of the software is free.
