9 faults found. Codes inside...Please help!!!

    Well after my car not starting a couple days ago, my friend came over to check it on vag-com today. Here are the faults it found...



    9 Faults Found:
    17633 - Fuel Injector for Cylinder 1 (N30): Short to Ground
    P1225 - 35-00 - -
    17635 - Fuel Injector for Cylinder 3 (N32): Short to Ground
    P1227 - 35-00 - -
    17636 - Fuel Injector for Cylinder 4 (N33): Short to Ground
    P1228 - 35-00 - -
    17634 - Fuel Injector for Cylinder 2 (N31): Short to Ground
    P1226 - 35-00 - -
    17833 - EVAP Purge Valve (N80): Short to Ground
    P1425 - 35-00 - -
    17955 - Boost Pressure Regulation Valve (N75): Short to Ground
    P1547 - 35-00 - -
    17525 - Oxygen (Lambda) Sensor Heating Circuit: B1 S2: Short to Ground
    P1117 - 35-00 - -
    17938 - Camshshaft Timing Adjustment: Short to Ground
    P1530 - 35-00 - -
    17697 - Boost Pressure Control Valve (N249): Short to Ground

    Can somebody please tell me what to do :( i'm so stuck right now. When i turn the ignition on the fans keep coming on for some reason and stay on for a while. The car constantly turns over but won't go on!

    hi, have you had a look under the bonnet.looks like most of the cable which fire the car are touching.possibly no insulation on conductors

    Can't say for sure, but all those faults are related to 'short to ground', does that mean a bad earth or something?

    sounds like the cables are touching the body of the car.short to earth means that

    I'd check your earth points under the battery first, agree with jojo, you have an earthing issue

    Just spoke to my mechanic who said its definitely a wiring problem so i'm gonna get the car on a flatbed tomorrow and sent to him.

    As already said, all those codes together smack of dodgy earth... the are a symptom of a problem rather than being the problem themselves... most of the earths are collected under the battery tray which has a tendency to corrode. Also check the earth strap from the chassis to the engine (bolted on where the gearbox is bolted to the engine IIRC).

    also, worth checking around the main engine relay.. which I think is up around the scuttle area by the airbox.. again possible corrosion.
    1st check is as said under the battery and earths being corroded/broken off

    I have once heard but not seen personally of a faulty vvt actuator cause these also.. worth unplugging at some point if you dont find another cause.
