I'm fortunate in having a tuning company I can totally depend on.

If something isn't right they'll fix it or find a solution and whilst Revo haven't exactly set the software world on fire recently, what they do have will work on an everyday basis and the software support is good.

They stick to what they can do and don't stretch beyond that to hardware solutions that they can't support or back up if anything goes wrong.

To put this another way there have been times when I might have considered APR but the whole atmosphere surrounding them was sufficient for me to look elsewhere.
Now it's likely that someone from there would say its my loss and good riddance to me,but I'm knocking around in a reliable 500+bhp car and I KNOW I can depend on the build and the software.

I really like those wheels, but you are going to have to park some way from the kerb with them as the spokes go right to the end of the rim! Any kerbing would look merciless on them. A Very good choice.

Looks brilliant mate. Love the look of the milltek. Will definitely get a cat back from them when mine s3 arrives. Will I have a similar gear change bang as geefunk? I know he has the full system though.

Looks absolutely bingo mate! All black does look super cool. Not many of us 3 door owners either!
    How you finding the Milltek?
Mine is mental in built up areas, sounds like a bloody endurance racer lol

The car sounds and feels so much better in lower gears now, I suspect it will improve over time too.

Does anyone have any experience of painting the manufacturer badges? I really would like some black versions but all the ones I have found (ebay) don't seem to fit the 8v S3, the local Audi dealer have been no help, so considering using a body shop...

A guy called Cuppa got some aftermarket painted ones (shadow chrome) for his S5 and they were smaller than the manufacturers badges.

I think the best thing to do is retain your ones, get them off with dental floss or similar then get some OEM ones from Audi dealer and get them sprayed up to your preference. If you get them via Stoke Audi on this forum you should get a member discount. Cut corners, pay twice!

Going for the full stealth then pal?!

I've done about 1000 miles in mine now with the Milltek, the only thing I'm finding is it's really loud when you're just cruising on a motorway and slightly press the throttle. Guess it might be because mine's full turbo back so it's got a bigger downpipe too which makes it louder.

I think the DP's seem to make the biggest difference on all the cars I've changed pipework on. OEM ones are designed for comfort! Once you get a good unrestricted DP on there the car can really bark!

I'm not finding it too intrusive currently but I haven't been on a motorway since it all got fitted either so we shall see, and mines a manual so I don't have the upshift pops anyway

And thanks for the advice Warren re the badges, I think thats exactly what I'm going to do, I'm emailing for a body shop quote now to get them done properly

I think cat back is for me as I don't really want the "track car" sound just I nice deeper tone if you get what I mean. I understand the possibility of stage 2 is there with a full system but I think the gain from the dtuk box I'll be having adapted will be more than enough for me. :racer:

Oh it definitely barks. Pulled into the work car park this morning and a guy from one of the companies next door stopped me for about 10min as he heard me pull up to ask all about what I'd done to it! His first comment was "that sounds like a beast".

I sent some feedback to the MD of Milltek this morning. I might try out a resonated system to see what difference it makes. Hopefully gonna get some twin oval tips soon aswell to try out. It's going for a pro photoshoot on Thursday at Milltek HQ...

The ovals you're getting, is that twin each side or 2 big ovals? Either way should look good!

Twin ovals each side. I could've had 2 big ovals I reckon but wasn't sure if they'd look as good as 4 pipes?! Think the ovals need to be incorporated into the rear bumper like an RS4 to look really good.

Plus that's very much an RS thing, so when the RS3 comes out you'll just look like an RS3 wanna be... not a good look when one pulls up next to you... Awkward!!!

The new RS3 will probably end up having about the same power as mine anyways so wouldn't be that embarrassing!!

So the S3 went for a pro photoshoot at Milltek last week. Here's a couple of teaser photos including the exhaust trim options, twin black ovals being fitted in the next couple of days along with some new wheels...

Nice! How is the sound... And the big question is, do they use the "flap system"? :)

Probably referring to the CEL that appears on some systems when not using a matched cat. Causes the O2 sensor to trip.

You don't hang around do you!!

Must admit those wheels look better but disappointed in the ovals I thought they would be bigger, just look like standard size but in black...... Lol were never happy are we!
Still looks real good tho Mr Funk

Is that the standard 18" alloys or did you manage to get 19's in from somewhere? they look bigger.

They're standard 18" wheels but painted black instead of anthracite. Think they look bigger because of that. Decided to stick with 18's as I didn't fancy coughing up £2k for wheels, or should I say the fun police said it wasn't happening.
Pipes look good in the metal, they're defo bigger than standard. I prefer the OEM look! But I may put the dustbins back on at some point!
