8P3 S3 handbreak sticking?

Just set off after not moving the car for 5 days and there was a nockingish noise coming from rear left brake. Seemed to slowly disapear after braking a couple of times. Anyone experienced this?

Handbrakes do tend to stick more in cold weather if left for a while I find. I tend to leave the car in first gear with the handbrake on very lightly (just one click). Seems to work fine for me

If you applied the handbrake very firmly then it is normal for a 'clunk' when you have released it and moved off. It's just the pads releasing themselves from the discs.

Next time you are leaving it for a fair time then try and apply the handbrake a bit more gently. That way it it doesn't seize as much.
