How do, signed up to the site a few months back but just making my first thread :)

Anyway, I bought my A3 recently and decided that I wanted to do the single grill conversion but wanted to go Sline, anyway I just took the plunge. I've just purchased this off eBay:

eBay - The UK's Online Marketplace

Just curious as to whether I've got myself a bargain and can anyone see from the pictures any underlying issues?

    Thanks, Blake.

You have bought an 8P3 standard front bumper fella. Not an s-line or 8P2 bumper.
In less your planning on doing the full 8P3 conversion?

The listing says it's from an 06.

If The op is new to A3 modding, it's an easy mistake to make, taking the word of an eBay seller.

Tell the seller his listing is incorrect and get a refund.

Ah I didn't read e part number if I'm honest I was told to go for an 06 model as they were the 8P2 as it's his mistake I'll message him and ask for a refund. Bad times!

He will have to refund you anyway as Wez said he advertised it on his listing as an 2006 model.
Good luck and keep us updated on how you get on. You want this bumper Google Images or Google Images

    Hang on there.

To go from 8p1 to 8p2 don't you need to replace most of the same parts anyway? Bonnet wings etc?

If that's the case, is it any worse to go for an 8P3 than an 8P2, especially since most consider the 8P3 better looking - I do at least!

As Blake said no. You only change bonnet, front bumper and grille for the 8P2 conversion. Quite alot cheaper than the 8P3 conversion.
Me personnally i prefer the 8P2 bumpers. The 8P3 ones are just a bit too square for me and not that much difference between them all. But obviously prefer the 8P3 xenons
