8L 2003 audi a3 radio reception

still having trouble getting radio reception..............wired a booster up and no good.
i might be doing something wrong i dont no ?

does anyone no what i can do to have a radio in my car its so annoying without it.

i have the standard aerial connected up.
radio works fine with the standard radio in.

i have put a alpine CDE - 125BT in and i have no radio

please help

Stupid question but you have connected the power lead on the booster to the power antenna lead on the Alpine?

all connected .................. for the live wire i chopped into the red cable ( live ) ................. slightly got a signal but far from good

Why did you do that? The amp needs to be turned on/off with the Hu otherwise it'll drain your battery.
Could be a duff antenna amp, I would try a different one or just stick a short length of wire coathanger into the aerial connector if all you want is FM

the alpine wont turn off with the ignition......i do it manually.

you sent me a link a while back.
for the booster and i lost it.

i have been in touch with the specialist as well and they say your not always guaranteed
a good signal with one fitted :S

why do audi make things so complicated

oh right, you need to wire an accessory feed to the HU from the fusebox, fuse no. 10 IIRC denoted "Radio S-Kont"
You'll get a good enough signal for FM
