hi, trying to get a feel for in gear acceleration times for a dsg tdi locked into 5th gear - between 50 and 70mph

standard and modified times please

mines a shade under 6 secs (think its standard ie not remapped?)

guess no ones worked out how to use the gear stick on a dsg yet? ;-)

any one?

Use it all the time, just never carry a stop watch !

According to a road test in the April 2004 issue of Audi Driver magazine they gave the 50-70 figure for an A3 2.0TDI SE manual as 6.5secs and for an A3 2.0 FSI manual as 8.9 secs.

In the same April 2004 issue there is an article on an A3 2.0 TDI with a Superchips conversion and it gives a figure of 5.6 secs for 50-70 in fifth.

The August 2005 issue of the same magazine gives the same 50-70 figure in 5th for an A3 2.0 TDI quattro S-Line manual as 6.4secs.

Without special time equipment it would be very diificult to register the difference between 5.6, 6.4 and 6.5 secs.

Hope this is of some help
