ivw found a controller in my garage...was off a bora 4mo i had years ago. do you stil need one?
Can you take a picture of it please as i need to borrow a early type one
Got home eventually on Friday and had my brother waiting for me at my house . He was there to tell me some bad news that our father has taken ill and there is not much time left . So my father has my unadulterated attention . So the testing my job and anything else has to go on the back burner . I'm sorry guys but as we all have fathers u know how important family is . With this been so unexpected I'm telling everyone I love that I love them . I hope all goes well and I'll b back when I've pulled my headout of my arse .
Sorry to here this, and No need to apologise Steve! You have to do what's right! Take it easy buddy.
All cool Ste
Still looking for a threaded insert if anyone has one i can borrow?
I have one thats in pieces, are you after just the threaded bolt part or the whole controller?
If you dont have much luck finding one on your side of the world, I can post it to you.
Just the threaded bolt thing Scullies
that I can do, but I will need it back when you done
send me your postal address and I will send it over when I have some time to go past the post office.
Is there anyone that wants to test the insert then?
Come ocn people this could be a really good mod just needs some testing
I'll test your adjustable one but won't be able to give feedback for a while
If i was local i would happily test it. Sadly im across the ocean
thats not a problem
If I wasn't skint I'd and had some spare time test it .
I'm not asking anyone to pay for this insert. I just want someone to test it and say what they think
I'll test it but I'm in Portugal, testing it or not I'll buy one... My car it's a pre facelift version
How difficult is it to fit? Could I do it on jacks?
I have a non esp old style haldex and I'm happy to test if its any use.....
you need to take the haldex controller off to fit it.
it can be done under axle stands yes
Have you finished the one I'm testing yet Andrew?
No not yet
Im just getting some cylinder head done and out of the way first
How you gettin on with this Andrew? Happy to use my car as test bed if it helps.
Still on with the above
Managed to get one of the adjustable parts made today
also I will have both types of 50/50 inserts done soon
Can't wait for this to be tested i want one
Looks great Andrew. Seems a shame its out of sight.
Yeah looks great! Will be good to test on my new haldex
When you testing this gops
I just have to wait for the gaskets and longer bolts
The part above is made out of 316 stainless steel so it won't rust under the car
As soon as the bolts and gaskets have come they will be sent out to Gops
keep us all posted on results
It will be sent out to Gops this week
Will be looking into getting this product design patented if all goes well
One quick question regarding this. The standard controller and the upgrades have an over ride protection function to allow it to go back to front wheel drive only, if the oil temp get too high. Andrew, With this insert I gather this will protection will no longer work?
I thought about oil temps
Increase oil capacity with this
It's also possible to put a switch to cut the power to the haldex
But that would make it a 2 wheel drive then
Can't wait! I have a new haldex unit going on soon so that'll be put on before I put the haldex in, making better pictures!
It's good for parking and driving arround the city.
But lets wait for the test results
I think you have missed something? you above modification is adjustable
