Hi all,
I had a visit from 4RingsLtd the other week to investigate the stalling, backfiring, engine cutting out and poor performance of my Audi A3 1.6 97 and they found the following fault codes:
00537 - Lamba Oxygen Sensor Lower Unit
00513 - Engine Speed Sensor Implausible Signal - Intermittent
000515 - Camshaft Position Sensor Implausible Signal - Intermittent
I was told that the engine speed sensor (crankshaft sensor) was the cause of all the fault codes.
Since then I have installed a new crankshaft sensor and no longer does the engine cut out however the poor performance still exists (maybe marginally better). Can a crankshaft sensor create all those fault codes, or should I get new camshaft and Lamba sensors installed?
Also to note, the fault codes were not cleared after the installation of the new crankshaft sensor, which surely shouldn't be a problem?
Any help with this is much appreciated.
